The name is Ben. I was raised in Suwanee, GA— the place in which I established my infatuation with art. I am an outgoing fun-loving guy who finds joy in the human experience.
I am a recent graduate of Texas State University
(BFA in Musical Theatre).
Ben’s professional debut was made in 2015 as “Javert’s Understudy” in Les Misérables at the Alliance Theater. He has since performed in A Chorus Line (Richie) and in The World Premiere of Jubilee at Arena Stage. This September, Ben will be making his National Tour Debut with the 2nd National Tour of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.
“Ben Toomer, as Coalhouse Walker, brings a quietly centered gravitas to the role, further enhanced by his rich singing voice.”
Frank Benge, Broadway World (Ragtime)
“As Richie, the would-be kindergarten teacher, Ben Toomer is funny and powerful singing one of my favorite numbers in the show, 'Gimme The Ball'.”
